Michael Pederson made a small work of art and placed it in public spaces around Sydney. You might walk through it without realizing it, until a small sign attracts your attention and makes you smile, laugh, or stop and think for a moment.

His work is simple and smart. The gap on the wall into a small theater “for cockroaches,” and the hole on the sidewalk was changed to the gate of miniature airport departure. This little surprise mingled to the city and changed the place everyday into something fun and unexpected.

“I made this work a few moments ago, and some people mentioned that ‘the smallest garden in the world’ is ‘Mills End Park’ in Portland, Oregon (I like it). Yes, my park is rather smaller, but clearly not ‘official’.
