Binge Worthy Show – PLAYWORKEATREPEAT

Finding the right party favors can be tricky, especially if I’m having an indecisive day. I mean, with all the choices we have and all the streaming services available, it should be easier, right? I often think about the old days when I was growing up, with only four channels to choose from. Life becomes easier. Less exciting, but easier.

However, there are a few shows that immediately hook me, and when I do one of them, I know I’m in for a good run. Here are some gems I’ve discovered lately, and I’ve grouped them by mood, because that’s usually how I decide what to watch.

A Binge-Worthy Show

Dark and Twisty

This binge-worthy show is when I’m feeling brave and want the suspense, the fear, the secrets, and my heart to get over the feeling that something is wrong.

Stranger Things

I don’t like horror, but I really liked this show, and I’m sad it’s ending. The biggest draw for me is the 80s nostalgia. It was my time, my fashion, and my music. The subtle nods and references to my favorite films from the best decade ever are just genius.

Harlan Coben Series

I’ve never watched one that I didn’t like, so I can confidently say that it’s truly reliable binge material.

They all had great storylines that I never thought would happen. The ending wrapped up nicely, which is very important because I can’t stand it when I invest time and emotional energy into a show that ends vaguely. I hate having to think about endings so I can sleep at night and not lie awake wondering.

So far, I’ve watched it Safe, Foreigners, Stay Close, Fool Me Once, Hold on tight, EscapeAnd Caught. I’m just getting started Not guiltythe one in Spanish, and I want to watch the other international ones too.

Serial Killer’s Wife

It’s a little unsettling, but I watched it while I was painting the living room during the day. I don’t think I would like watching it alone at night. It disgusted me, but I couldn’t stop watching and painting. If you can’t stop watching it, I’d say it’s worth a binge, right?

Hostage

I love this one! It has a mix of personal and political drama that really grabbed my attention. The cast is a lot of fun. Fun hints are a must because you’ll get to taste all the flavors. Ha, at least I know! The five-episode series follows a British Prime Minister whose husband is kidnapped and how she manages her personal life alongside all the political drama. This one is totally binge-worthy.

European and Foreign Drama

Castle

I didn’t think I’d enjoy this one as much as I did (I’m still on season one), but again it has a fun edge. The politics are a bit complicated, and because it’s in Danish, I sometimes had to replay it to make sure I understood the English text.

Interestingly, the show discusses Greenland and the US’s interest in it. I didn’t realize this was a problem at the time, and unfortunately, it is now a major threat in real life.

Baby Fever

I love Swedish dramas, and they are very hard to find. I almost missed this one because the title sounded a bit cheesy. But I’m glad I tried it because it was funny, awkward, and dramatic without being over the top.

Pernille

Another one with an unusual title, but Pernille, the main character, is very friendly and humble. You really feel like you were there with him through some of the awkward times in his life. However, there is a lot of swearing!

Cozy and Hilarious Party-Worthy Show

Watching this is guaranteed to make you laugh.

Seinfeld

No matter how many times I watch these episodes, they are still hilarious. I have been binge watching this show since 1993!

Caregiver

Shows old and new to me that I keep talking about non-stop.

Fun Adventure/Reality

Amazing Race

Every time I watch a season, I think I would love to be on this show, and then I remember I can’t swim, I’m afraid of flying, and I don’t do heights. I will continue to watch it like a champ.

Drama/Gap Filler that is Light and Easy to Watch

It’s perfect for my indecisive nights. I like it enough that I keep watching it, and I think it’s a great binge-watching gap filler when my favorite shows are finished, or I’m waiting for a new season.

Beginner

It’s entertaining and easy to follow

Boston Blue

I don’t like him as much as I love him Blue Bloodbut it’s still good, and I like it enough to keep watching it.

Most Binge-Worthy Show

A show I really enjoy and can marathon at any time.

Golden Age

I love the costumes, the tricks, and Aunt Agnes’ naughty lines.

Better call Saul

A brilliant, binge-worthy show that had me thinking back to Jimmy every few minutes. One moment I think he’s a great guy, and then I think, oh no, he’s not actually a great guy. A fascinating look at human nature and the sad spiral of bad choices.
