According to charging documents filed by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Martinez identified the victim as Cindy Aguilar, a romantic rival, and started an argument inside the gym.

Deputies were told that Martinez attempted to cause serious bodily injury by throwing a 25-pound plate directly at Aguilar’s head, information that was later confirmed by law enforcement.

The criminal complaint states that the attack stemmed from Martinez recognizing Aguilar as “someone involved with his partner,” a detail reiterated by deputies at the scene.
Officers with Harris County Precinct 4 responded to the gym after receiving an emergency call reporting the fight, resulting in Martinez being arrested at the scene and taken into custody on more serious charges.

Martinez was booked into the Harris County Jail, where his bond was set at $1,000 from the 488th District Court. He posted bond the next day.
In an order setting the conditions of his release, Judge Matthew Peneguy noted that drinking appeared to have played a role in the altercation.
“The facts establishing probable cause indicate that alcohol was a factor in this offense,” the judge wrote.

Under the terms of his release, Martinez was placed under strict court supervision. He was ordered not to consume alcohol in any form, including alcohol-containing products such as food, mouthwash, or over-the-counter medications.
The court also prohibited him from using psychoactive substances, possessing weapons, or having contact with Aguilar. Additionally, Martinez was instructed to stay at least 200 feet away from the Lake Plaza Drive 24 Hour Fitness where the incident occurred.

X’s account apparently belonging to him contained reposts referring to insecurities and infidelity, including “falling in love before you get too smart,” and another writing, “I hate lustful men. Do you know what a cute b**** I am.”

The day after his arrest, Martinez shared a very different message on Facebook.
